Its gonna be tough, but it might work. U’ll need to lose a littl water weight, do cardio and weight lifting exercises, and u’ll need to work on metabolism boosting all at once….
Eat only veggies, fruits, low fat dairy products and lean meats (like chicken – the healthy kind) not eating junk foods and foods from the bread food group will definatly aid weight loss. So go out and buy: brocoli, cucumbers, carrots, celery, green beans, lettuce, strawberries (frozen are cheeper and last longer plus u can make these into smoothies), grapes, apples, bananas, pears, low fat yogurt, skim milk, string cheese, chicken, maybe some turkey lunch meat to put in salads.
I’d suggest eating 100-200 calories an hour every hour so that your metabolism will shoot up (dont go over 1600 calories though, but dont go much under that limit either. Going under 1200 will slow ur metaboslim) also, drink plenty of water, and try to add spice to ur meats and veggies. Spice boosts metabolism
as for exercise…..u dont wanna be overwhelmed or u’ll wanna quit right away….i’d say go with at least an hour of dancing around to ur favorite music. Its only an hour, and time goes by fast when ur having fun
just get ur body moving to ur favorite songs. Maybe, every once in a while while ur dancing, stop and do crunches and or pushups for a minute or two to the music as well.
Also, u need to move around as much as possible. Avoid sitting for long periods of time. If ur watching a movie, walk around, stand, or even better – stretch, this will make u more flexible and it feels good too
same with the computer – take long frequent brakes away from the computer. Do some cooking just for fun or to prepare healthy meals that take longer. Go for walks. Do u have a dog? Take ur pet for a walk so u both can get some fresh air. Or spend some extra time setting up christmas decorations. Just keep ur body moving as much as possible.

Daniel asks…
Should I workout 5 days a week rather than 4?
I’m 5’6 and I weigh 143. I’ve been working out all summer (2 months) Okay so I need to lose 5-7 pounds of body fat in 3 weeks. What do I need to do? Why 3 weeks cause school starts in 3 weeks. Why 5-7 pounds of fat so that my abs would show up. My arms are already sort of big but my main goal is the abs.
I’ve been working out 4 days a week. I was wondering would adding a day to my workouts be a good idea or should I continue doing 4 days and let my body recover more.
This is my workout routine.
Resistance: Reps=10
Bench press: 175 pounds reps for 20 minutes
Leg Press: 230 pounds reps (rep=20) for 5 minutes
Curl Machine: 70 pound reps for 5 minutes
Butterfly machine: 135 pound reps for 5 minutes
Abs machine: 90 pound reps (Reps=20) for 10 minutes
Cardio:
1 hour in the elliptical machine with max resistance (machine says I burn 800+ calories. YES I KNOW MACHINE NOT THAT ACCURATE)
30 minutes of swimming (Freestyle)
Calorie intake: Not really sure but I have cut my calorie intake.
Rob answers:
Hi,
You should only work out 3 or 4 times a week as your muscles need time to rest and repair. Eat and drink healthy and that will also help you to lose weight.
Regards.

Sharon asks…
Is this workout good to lose fat and gain muscle?
I am on the track team in my school. We run I think 2 miles, 5 days a week. With a few warm ups and cool downs. Then we do like 30 crunches to the middle, then to the right and left side 30 times. Then there is a gym in our school we go to lift weights. 3 sets of 10 reps, for lifting the giant barbell, approximately 65 pounds.
Rob answers:
I suggest 4 sets of 6-8 reps, with heavy weight.

Maria asks…
Is it possible for me to lose 30ish pounds by february?
I weigh 165 pounds and i’m absolutely sick of being the “overweight” one, so i’m doing something about it!
I want to get down to like 135 pounds by february because i want to look good when i go back to school and see everyone that i haven’t seen in a long time.
Right now i eat all healthy foods and i work out 4 days a week.
When i workout i start with a 10 minute warm up, then i do my stretches, then i do strength training, then cardio for 30 minutes, then a 5 minute cool down.
Should i workout more each week? Do you have any tips?
Do you think i can lose it be february?
please let me know!

Rob answers:
When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don’t eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It’s not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym – a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

I need to get ready for wrestling season at high school. Can I lose 5 pounds of fat in around 3 weeks?
I need to get ready for wrestling season at high school. Can I lose 5 pounds in 3 weeks if I do this?
Im 17, male, 5’9, and 170lbs. Im gettin ready for wrestling season which starts in about 3 weeks(nov 13), and I have alotta muscle, but about 10 pounds of extra body fat.
I heard that if you do cardio first thing in the mornin before even eating, theres no carbs in your blood, so ur body goes straight into the fat reserves. is this true?
providing this is true, I made a workout based on the fact. what if I do this:
*completely cut out soda and juice from my diet.
*eat very low carbs (less than 50 carbs a day)
*run every morning at 5:45 before breakfast for 2 miles on
weekdays and 3 miles on saturdays
*swim on saturdays for an hour(directly after the running)
*get 8 hours of sleep a night and drink 8-10 glasses of water a
day
will consist of diet:
*cheerios
*milk
*water
*chicken
*steamed vegetables
*sliced turkey
*bread(not everyday)
if I do all this, can I lose around 5 pounds of fat in around 3 weeks? I’ll do some light weight training to tone and retain muscle too.
Rob answers:
It’s a question of calories. A good diet program will aim to lose 2 or 3 pounds a week, so your target is reasonable. Some of the things you want to cut out make sense too.
But you want to make sure you don’t lose weight too fast – this slows your metabolism. And you want to make sure you are getting all the right nutrients.
Instead of illiminating ‘things’, work out the calories in what you are eating. A pound of fat contains 3500 calories. Each day, your body uses around 2000 calories. So to lose a pound in a week, you want to drop your calorie intake to around 1500 calories.
You could lose weight by drinking soda and not eating anything else, if you kept your calorie intake down; though this wouldn’t be a balanced diet. Make sure you get portions of all the major food groups each day, including fruit and vegetables.
